Richland Township is a Township of the Second Class, incorporated in 1734.
 
The population as of the 2000 Census was 9,920.
 
The Township covers 21.05 square miles and approximately 13,700 acres.
 
There are 73.24 miles of public roads in the Township with the Township
responsible for maintenance of 47.58 miles.
 
There are 26.72 miles of State maintained roads within the Township.
