Richland Township Park & Recreation Board provides two park facilities and many services to the residents of the Township. Throughout the summer, Richland Township’s programs include Outdoor Movie Nights, Sports Camps and Arts Camps for the children, and Community Day – the last Saturday in July.
Veterans Park is Richland Township’s newest park, located at 145 East Pumping Station Road. The park has 4 lighted tournament-style softball fields, 2 multipurpose fields that can be used for softball, baseball, soccer, or other field sports. Additional amenities include a picnic pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills, tot lot playground, and a ½ mile walking path with exercise stations and park benches.
Robert O. Keller Memorial Park is Richland Township’s original park, located next to the Township Building at 1328 California Road. It has a softball field, multipurpose field that can be used for softball, baseball, soccer, or other field sports, tennis courts, basketball courts, a 1/3 mile walking path, and a 1-mile wooded nature trail with exercise stations. Additional amenities include a picnic pavilion with picnic tables and charcoal grills, and tot lot playground. The facilities are available for use by the residents of the Township free of charge with the exception of the pavilion, which may be rented for a nominal fee; just call the Township Building for availability.
When using Richland Township Parks, please abide by all the posted rules and regulations. Please dispose of all trash and recyclable materials in the appropriate receptacles, and clean up after your pets. All pets must be leashed. Additionally, smoking is prohibited in Richland Township Parks.
