Leaf and Yard Waste

Leaf and Yard Waste The Spring Yard Waste Collection will occur the week of May 6th through May 10th. Place your yard waste (leaves and/or sticks) at the curb for collection by Sunday, May 5th if possible. Leaves may be piled against the curb or bagged. Sticks should be stacked on top of the curb. The Township will not collect grass clippings or other unacceptable items such as rocks, dirt, stumps, trash or lumber.

Please note: We do not have a set schedule of which days we will be on which roads. Our scheduling depends upon weather and our other work load at the time. We will make sure we get around the entire Township in a timely manner, depending on those factors.

In the fall, the Township conducts their annual leaf collection program. Click here for the 2023 Fall Leaf Collection schedule.

In addition, leaves and bundled branches may be dropped off any time at the Township Municipal Building located at 1328 California Road. They should be dropped off behind the salt shed located behind the Municipal Building.

WE NO LONGER ACCEPT LEAVES IN PLASTIC BAGS. Dump bags out onto the pile and take the bags away. Leaves in paper bags are accepted. However, drop offs from contractors or waste haulers will not be accepted.

Please note that leaf waste shall be kept separate from all other forms of municipal waste and separate from recyclables. As an alternative, leaf waste may be removed by a private hauler for delivery to a leaf composting facility or to be used for agricultural purposes.

Also, the Township encourages residents to make use of leaf waste for compost, mulch or other agricultural purposes.

Please note: Open burning of leaf waste is prohibited.
